"Association for the support of small and medium-sized businesses - United Business Clubs" (OBK)

is a large network of small and medium-sized enterprises in Bulgaria, Croatia, Macedonia, Romania and other European countries, which is constantly growing, and currently has over 2000 members.

OBC is a member of the European Small Business Alliance (ESBA) – a pan-European organization that has over 1.2 million members from 36 countries.

We are partners in the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) – the world’s largest support network for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), helping businesses to deploy and grow internationally.

The network is active in more than 60 countries worldwide. It brings together over 3,000 experts from more than 600 organizations – all known for their excellence in business support.

We are also partners in the South-East Cooperation Initiative (SECI) – a regional initiative initiated by the USA as support for the implementation of the Dayton Agreement. The coordinator of the SECI initiative is the former Vice-Chancellor of Austria, Dr. Erhard Busek, from whom we receive exceptional support in our activities and was one of the speakers at the International Meeting of SMEs in the city of Varna, organized by us.

OBC also participates in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) – a model of multilateral political and economic initiative that emerged with the signing of the High Level Declaration in Istanbul.

All these partnerships and contacts, as well as the large network of over 2000 SME members, enable our organization to provide SMEs in Bulgaria and other European countries with an exchange of experience and good practices, knowledge and skills, know-how, innovative approaches and models to develop the business on a global level and also to provide them with opportunities to internationalize their business.

International Markets Directorate

has experts-researchers who find markets outside the country for the products and services of Bulgarian SMEs.

They also cooperate with trade representatives abroad and work for the access of Bulgarian goods to foreign markets and the attraction of investments.

The team organizes large information forums and seminars in all regions of the country, depending on the economic characteristics of each of them.

The team selects the International Exhibitions and Forums suitable for each company, member of the Association, sends the information to them, prepares the necessary documents for visiting the exhibition, advises them on their presentation and sends them free of charge to present their products and services and create contacts and partnerships.

To date, OBC has sent over 100 companies to International Exhibitions such as:

HOST in Milan

A delegation of OBC visited the 40th edition of the HOST exhibition in Milan, held from October 20 to 24, 2017.

HOST – one of the largest international exhibitions for hotel equipment and catering with 2,165 registered exhibitors from 51 countries, the place where hospitality and business meet.

Thanks to the excellent relationships and business contacts, free travel, accommodation and participation were provided for the participants in the OBC delegation, headed by Mr. Veselin Halachev – chairman of the Association.

The exhibition is definitely an event providing a unique opportunity for international business development. An event that brings together the latest innovations and quality ideas in a fast and continuously developing sector and one can learn a lot about market trends worldwide.

During the stay, within two days, 23 meetings were held with representatives of companies from all over the world. Interest was sparked by the “Business without borders” project, which offers opportunities for close cooperation with countries such as India, France, China, the USA and specific investments in eco-production. The meeting with representatives of an organization from Pennsylvania, USA, which is interested in importing Bulgarian goods from various branches of production to offer on the market there, was useful.

OBC in the person of Mr. Veselin Halachev received a 1st place award in the "Business without borders" project

for the most b2b meetings held during the event.
